None of them was awake, but him. None of them would witness what he was about to do, but himself. It was so late that the crickets didn’t even dare to make any sound, or something as sarcastic as that to explain how late it was. A door was slightly opened in that rented old medium size apartment, where these boys were supposed to spend half of their summer holiday in.
It was said that it was so that those control-freak people on the top of the board of directors wouldn’t have to make their people to spend so much time picking each one of them just for their intense practice and rehearsal schedule. They didn’t want to lose any possible profit by wasting time on fetching them.
Takaki stepped his foot out of his room after confirming that no one was on the living room. He took another peek on Yamada, whom he shared his room with, to ensure that the HS7 member was asleep. Takaki then marched quietly across the living room. His eyes were set on the storage room at the corner, and his lips grew wider.
As he managed to get this one big bottle of sake from the locked storage room, that he somehow had the key with him, he walked back to his room. He observed Yamada, who was still sleeping tightly on his bed, and decided that it wasn’t such a great idea to drink the sake openly. The one of several tallest members of JUMP looked around to find some place where he could drink secretly.
He beamed happily when he discovered that their room’s closet was big enough for him to sit inside. So there he was, sitting on the closet, with one hand on the sake’s bottle and the other hand ruffling his own hair gently. Yeah, it was what he needed at the moment; some peace of mind and a nice break from all those tiring practices.
When Takaki placed the tip of the bottle back to his mouth, he heard his room’s door was being opened. He saw a presence of someone walking towards Yamada from the small gaps from the closet’s door. The door was the type which you can see people outside from the small lining gaps, but those who were outside couldn’t see you because the lining gaps didn’t reveal what was inside.
“Ne, Yama-chan. Are we still going to play Uno? It’s 2.30, just like you said. Where are Yuto and Chinen? They’re not here yet,” complained Daiki with half-opened eyes. Daiki looked really sleepy. Maybe he just woke up, thought Takaki. It took Daiki more than forever to fully awake. Takaki knew well this one habit of Daiki after being a bandmate, not once but thrice, with the smaller boy.
Yamada just shifted his body as he nodded lightly, telling Daiki that the game was still on. Daiki sighed and sat on the edge of Yamada’s bed. He was spacing out, with face looking at Takaki’s bed. It’s impossible for Dai-chan to realize that I’m not where I’m supposed to be right now since it’s just as impossible for Dai-chan to be wakeful that easily, thought Takaki as he took another sip from his sake.
“Ne, Yama-chan…” said Daiki with a long pause, with eyes still on Takaki’s bed.
Or maybe he does realize it, Takaki felt a little uneasy, but tried to relax.
“Where’s the Uno card that we bought? I’ll just shuffle them for the time being while waiting for them,” Daiki brushed lightly his hand on his eyes, trying to be wide awake. Yamada just murmured something that Takaki believed was related to Yamada’s bag.
Good. He didn’t notice anything weird.
Unfortunately for Takaki, luck wasn’t on his side that night. Daiki looked around the room, but he was too sleepy to even notice that Yamada’s bag was just right beside the bed. The chubby cheeked boy then made his way to the closet, thinking that Yamada’s bag was probably there.
Takaki could feel that his heart beat so fast. He didn’t know what he should do if Daiki caught him drinking on the closet. He just hoped that Daiki was distracted by something or maybe was just too sleepy to notice that Takaki was even there in the first place. Takaki just froze as Daiki opened the closet’s door. The younger boy did as well as he saw who was inside.
“Takaki-kun? What are you do-. Ehh? Is that s-sake?”
Before Takaki managed to explain anything, suddenly the room’s door was being opened harshly as two boys walked in; laughing at something they were talking about. By reflex, Takaki snatched Daiki’s hand and pulled the younger boy inside as he quickly closed the closet.
“But seriously Yuto, Ari-chan is so adorable when he pouts. I start to wonder whether he’s seriously two years older than us,” Chinen hoped around happily.
“Very true indeed, but I can’t help it but think that he looks more adorable when he just woke up. He looks like a cute little baby,” Yuto crossed his arms.
The two boys then jumped on Yamada’s bed, making him sat still on his bed in shock. Yuto stopped jumping and put his arms around Yamada’s neck, while Chinen kept jumping. “Ne ne ne, wake up!! It’s Uno time, Yama-chan!” Yuto hugged the shorter boy tightly. Yamada just smiled as he patted lightly Yuto’s arms.
“The cards are in my bag,” said Yamada lazily. Chinen jumped forward and took the cards from Yamada’s bag.
“Where’s Takaki-kun? I thought he was your roommate,” asked Yuto.
“Eh? He’s not here? Emm~.. I was sure that he was sleeping when I emailed you guys about the Uno game,” said Yamada.
“Maa~.. Maybe he was out somewhere to buy something from the convenient store or maybe he’s making something to drink. We just need to wait for Ari-chan to come,” Chinen sat on Yamada’s bed, making himself comfortable as he shuffled the cards. The two boys agreed. It seemed that Yamada didn’t remember that Daiki was already there.
“Let’s just play while waiting for Ari-chan,” added Chinen.
On the other hand, Daiki couldn’t do anything but sat still. It was impossible for him to move or scream since Takaki put his palm against Daiki’s mouth and the other hand wrapped around Daiki’s small frame. His legs pinned down Daiki’s, making sure that the younger boy wouldn’t be able to move at all.
“Sssttttttt… Don’t you dare to make any sound, Dai-chan,” whispered Takaki.
After Daiki nodded because he was scared, Takaki let go of him. Daiki quickly try to catch his breath. He tried to readjust himself so he could fit in that small closet. Takaki just leaned his back against the closet’s wall and placed the tip of the bottle against his lips. But then before Takaki managed to take another sip, Daiki pulled the sake away from Takaki.
“What do you think you are doing? Do you want us to get suspended because of you?” whispered Daiki, glaring intensely at Takaki.
“Give me back my sake. You are not the band’s leader Dai-chan, you can’t tell me what I can’t do. And we won’t be suspended if you don’t tell anyone about this,” Takaki grabbed his bottle back and took a quick sip of the sake.
“And just sit here quietly until they finish with the game? Takaki-kun, you are insane. I’m going out,” groaned Daiki.
Takaki shoved the sake to Daiki before he managed to open the closet’s door. Daiki looked at the bottle, then to Takaki, back to the bottle, and then back to Takaki. “Why don’t you try it? Or you just ain’t manly enough to try? You even hardly grow taller, let alone dare to drink sake,” Takaki shoved the bottle even closer to Daiki’s face.
Daiki tried not to be tempted, but being called not manly enough was just too much for him to handle. He grabbed the bottle and swigged the sake. Daiki’s face went sour from the sake’s taste but then remained silent as he handed it back to Takaki. Takaki just smiled and patted lightly Daiki’s head, “I know that you are manlier than you look like.”
Both didn’t really say anything after that. They just sat there as they kept handing up the bottle to each other, drinking it while waiting for the three HS7 members get sick of their Uno game. Takaki felt a little relieved after realizing that since Daiki drank the sake as well, he wouldn’t tell anyone anything about it.
“Ne, Takaki. I’m going.. emm.. out. I was s-supposed to have fun and.. emmm.. play the Uno with them..” said Daiki while trying to open the door. Luckily for Takaki, he was fast enough to pull Daiki’s hands back before Daiki do anything stupid.
Surprisingly, Daiki collapsed with head leaning on Takaki’s chest; and his butt literally sitting on Takaki’s laps. Eh? Don’t tell me that he’s.. Takaki took a really good look at Daiki. With the help of lights that went through the small, lining, closet door’s gaps, Takaki noticed that Daiki’s cheeks were so red and his eyes were tightly closed.
He could hear how hard Daiki was breathing. Takaki poked his finger on Daiki’s red cheek to make sure that he was alright. Instead, Takaki realized that Daiki’s temperature was somehow higher than normal. “Stop… emm.. poking, you idiot… emm.. I’m not dead,” complained Daiki as he hit softly Takaki’s chest with his hand.
“Are you drunk?” asked Takaki.
“Emm…”
“Dai-chan?” he asked again.
“Yeah, I think I am. This is not the first… emm.. time I’m drunk… emm.. Damn it… I know that I can’t take… emm… alcohol well.. You are so stupid Arioka.. em.. Daiki..” said Daiki with eyes still closed.
Takaki laughed, loud enough that Daiki opened his eyes in annoyance but soft enough that the three boys outside didn’t hear him. “You say ‘emm’ a lot when you’re drunk, ne? Interesting,” said Takaki, still laughing at Daiki.
“Shut up,” groaned Daiki faintly, closing his eyes again.
The older boy didn’t do anything else but letting Daiki sitting on his laps, with head against Takaki’s chest as he slept. By having the younger boy on his laps, Takaki realized that Daiki really hardly grew any bigger. He wasn’t any heavier than when they were still members of Hey!Say!7. His frame was just as small as it had always been and his sleeping face still looked the same, even still looked like when the two of them were still in J.J.Express.
“Mou~.. Where’s Ari-chan? He’s late,” complained Chinen when Yuto managed to win for the second time.
“I bet he prefers sleeping than playing Uno with us. This is supposed to be hooking-him-up-with-Takaki-kun-before-he-drives-all-of-us-crazy Uno game! I can’t take it anymore! Dai-chan is still in denial that he likes Takaki-kun! It’s so obvious that he has a crush on him!” said Yuto while watching at Yamada and Chinen to continue the rest of the game.
Eh? Takaki blinked.
”I know. Dai-chan once told me that he refused to talk to Takaki-kun because he’d be stuttering if he did. Dai-chan is so slow in realizing his own feeling! It makes it even more noticeable that he likes him! Dai-chan never found it hard to talk to Takaki-kun when they were still in J.J.Express or Hey!Say!7 before.” Yamada agreed with his two friends.
“Maa~ it’s not that we can do anything if Dai-chan is here because Takaki-kun is not around either,” said Yuto at the end.
Takaki immobilized for awhile after hearing what his bandmates just discussed. Dai-chan likes me? Eeeeeeeehhhhhhhhh??????? he thought in panic. Takaki was put into more panic when Daiki moved a little and wrapped his arms around Takaki’s body, hugging the taller boy, and continued sleeping.
“N-n-ne, Dai-chan..” whispered Takaki.
Daiki didn’t move, nor did he answer Takaki.
“Dai-chan..” whispered Takaki again as he poked Daiki’s cheek.
“Emmm?? W-what?” said Daiki lazily.
“Are you having a crush on me?” asked Takaki.
“Hai..” said Daiki very softly, but still somehow sleeping.
“Since when?” asked Takaki again.
Daiki was drawn too deep into his sleep that he didn’t reply Takaki at all. Takaki just heaved a sigh. He ruffled Daiki’s hair gently. He then placed one finger on Daiki’s chin and lifted his face up. “You should have told me when you are not drunk,” said Takaki as he brushed tenderly his lips against Daiki’s soft lips.
All Takaki wished for at that moment was that Daiki was too drunk to even remember that he somehow confessed to him. Or even better, that Daiki was too drunk to remember that Takaki kissed him.

Owari!!!!!!!!!!!! I know this is lame. I was chatting withchibilover14 on YM two weeks ago, when I was on hiatus. Jen was asking me how my hiatus had been doing. Then being a TaDaiki freak I was (I still am), I started talking about TaDaiki. We ended up talking about how it would be like if we locked Takaki and Daiki inside a closet with a bottle of sake in a closet.
I was expecting myself to write smut,being a pervert I was and I still am a pervert indeed, but somehow I ended up writing this more towards its fluffy side. I swear that I still had smut in mind when I wrote Daiki collapsed to Takaki’s laps’ part. But well, somehow, I don’t know why but my brain just started to think of all possible fluffy scenes for them.
Maa~, although I end up confused with this fiction’s gender, I just hope that you like it. It was supposed to be a one-shot, but well. Comments are so much loved, especially after being away from LJ for ten days or even more.
P.S. I kind of finished chapter 2 and half of chapter 3.. but i'll post the next chapter up in two days time..
